Studio Policies

Fee & Payment Policy

  • All fees are paid online in the PARENT PORTAL or with cash/check.  There is a $25 fee for returned checks.  In person payments accepted at the Front Desk M-F 4pm-7pm
  • All account and contact information is maintained in our online Parent Portal
  • Classes run August through June. The Christmas Show is in December and the Annual Recital is in JUNE
  • A non-refundable registration fee is due each year at sign up.  CLASS ENROLLMENT IS NOT GUARANTEED UNTIL REGISTRATION FEE IS PAID. (Registration is $25 for the first student and $10 for each additional student; Fee includes the student's Dress Code tee, tutu, or ballet skirt. Replacement tees/tutus/skirts are available for a fee.)
  • Dress Code is required! Dress code helps students maintain a high level of focus, quality, and pride.
  • Full tuition is due on the 1st of each month, Aug - June. Tuition is not prorated for months with holidays or with less than 4 weeks of class. Tuition is non-refundable.
  • ONCE ORDERED, christmas show t-shirts and recital costumes are NON-REFUNDABLE!  Christmas Show Tshirts are ordered in Nov and Recital Costumes Dec/Jan.
  • Recital costumes and tees can only be delivered to students who have current accounts!

 

COLLECTIVE PARENTS ONLY: ALL COLLECTIVE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, INCLUDING COMPETITION, TEAM & COSTUME FEES, CHOREOGRAPHY AND TUITION.

2021-2022 Make Up, Attendance, Class Chage & Withdrawl Policies

MAKE UP POLICY

If a student is unable to attend their regularly scheduled class, please notify the Front Desk at frontdesk@kalondanceco.com or text 321-360-2103.  
- Class can be made up only if we are notified of the absence the week it occurs.  

- Make Ups are only allowed within two weeks of the absence 

- Make up classes must be scheduled and approved prior to your dancer attending. Please email or text the Front Desk to schedule your dancer’s makeup class. 
- If monthly tuition is outstanding the student is not eligible for a make up class

 

WITHDRAWAL POLICY
If you decide to withdraw your student from a class (or classes) at Kalon you must notify the Front Desk in writing of your intent to withdraw prior to the first of the month.  If you attend any classes during the month prior to deciding to withdraw you are responsible for the full month payment; tuition will not be prorated.

 

ATTENDANCE/3 CLASS RULE
If you miss more than 3 consecutive classes without notifying the studio, you will be automatically dropped from class.   If there is a circumstance that will cause a student to miss three or more classes in a row, but the student intends to return, please let us know. We may have wait lists for classes and we will not hold your student’s spot for the class if we do not hear from you in regard to him/her returning. If there is a circumstance that would cause him/her to miss numerous classes AND you notify us (in writing via email plus verbally to the teacher) we will hold the student’s spot until the expected return date.

 

CLASS CANCELATION/MODIFICATION POLICY

 

Kalon Dance Company reserves the right to change date/time or cancel classes that are at less than fifty percent capacity for four weeks or more.  Parents will be notified of changes and permitted to remain in the original class at the new time or provided with alternate options.  

 

An effort will be made to ensure the class is the same style instrucion but if required dress code item (i.e. red shirt, red skirt or red tutu) differs for the new class one will be provided at no cost.

 

Studio Dress Code

Miss Heather firmly believes a dress code encourages focus, promotes a strong work ethic and boosts studio pride.  Students attending class at Kalon Dance Company are expected to attend every class in dress code and with a positve attitude.

 

HAIR

All student's hair should be pulled securely off the face.  Students attending ballet classes shoud have their hair in a bun.  

 

DRESS CODE ITEM PROVIDED 

Each student, depending on their class, is provided a red Kalon T-Shirt, red ballet skirt or red tutu at their first class as part of their registration fee. Additional Kalon-logo dress code items can be purchased at the Front Desk.

 

BALLET

Girls: Black Leotard, Pink Tights, Red Ballet Skirt, Pink Ballet Slippers

Boys: Black Leotard, Black Tights, Black Ballet Slippers

 

CHEER

Red Kalon T-shirt, Black Bottoms, White Sneakers/Tennis Shoes

 

CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL

Red Kalon T-Shirt, Black Bottoms, No Shoes.  Solid Black Sports Bras, Black Leotards or Fitted Black Tops are also allowed.

 

HIP HOP

Red Kalon T-Shirt, Black Bottoms, Black Sneakers/Tennis Shoes

 

JAZZ

Red Kalon T-shirt, Black Bottoms, Black Jazz Shoes

Solid Black Sports Bras, Black Leotards or Fitted Black Tops are also allowed.

 

KINDERDANCE

Black Leotard, Pink Tights, Red Ballet Skirt, Black Jazz Shoes 

 

SPARKLE & SHINE

Black Leotard, Pink Tights, Red Tutu, Black Ballet Slippers & Black Tap Shoes

 

TAP

Red Kalon T-Shirt, Black Bottoms, Black Tap Shoes

Solid Black Sports Bras, Black Leotards or Fitted Black Tops are also allowed.

 

TINY TUMBLE & TNT

Red Kalon T-Shirt, Black Bottoms, No Shoes

Shirts should be tucked in or a Black Sports Bra or Leotard should be worn underneath the Kalon T-Shirt

 

TWINKLE TOES

Black Leotard, Pink Tights, Red Tutu, Black Ballet Slippers & Black Tap Shoes
